""We work in the dark - we do what we can - we give what we have. Our doubt is our passion and our passion is our task. The rest is the madness of art." Henry James
My journey began studying oil at the Ridgewood Art Institute, following the principles of Frank Vincent DuMond, noted American impressionist and teacher. This beginning encouraged me to study new mediums, including pastel and acrylic with talented painters who shared their gifts and knowledge.
Five months each year find me in my midcoast Maine studio visiting the islands and land trusts seeking out exciting new subjects to challenge me... continuing my journey of growth surrounded by Maine's amazing light... shining on sea and shore.
Thank you for sharing Maine with me, visit often as new work is always being added...what's next?
